Mallnitz
The Mallnitz village is a pearl in the Carinthia region. Perfectly accessible by train, car or bike. It's set on the crossing of three valleys. Seebachtal, Tauerntal and Dösental. It has all the facilities you need for your holiday. And therefor it's the gateway to the Hohe Tauern National Park.
Hohe Tauern National Park
The Hohe Tauern National Park is one of the most spectacular high mountain landscapes on planet Earth. The altitudinal belts from the valleys to the summits of the three-thousand meter tall mountains represent an exceptional biodiversity. This is home to many plants and wildlife species originating from the Central Asian tundra, the Arctic and even Southern Europe. It is our responsibility as a national park to protect this unique ecosystem, research it and share this knowledge with future generations. Discover this fascinating wilderness in the middle of Europe!
Seebachtal
The Best valley for nature lovers that enjoy a relaxed walk and be surprised by waterfalls, the stunning Lake Stappitzer and the best play ground in the Möltall region, the Mallnitzer Riviéra. In the winter you can eat your heart out with some serious long track cross-skiing tracks.
Tauerntal
The start of the more serious hiking and biking trails, with some very authentic huts to rest your loins. In winter the place to be for some snow eating tobogganing on the 4 km long rodel track. You can also find a lot of cross country skiing and snow shoe tracks.
Dösental
This valley is a bit more remote and therefore the best place to spot wild animals like chamois, ibex and marmot. This valley also holds one of the best hiking huts like Arthur von Schmid-Haus. Don't forget to dip in one of the many chilly lakes.
